I arrived at the cafe at 4:15pm with my daughter and grandchild. We ordered drinks and cakes and were happily enjoying our time together when a staff member informed us that they were closing. I mentioned that my grandchild was having a nappy change in the restroom, so we continued to sit until my daughter returned to the table to start drinking her tea. We looked on the website before we went for breakfast, we are frequent visitors to the park so decided to try out the breakfast menu, firstly on the website there are 3 different prices for the breakfasts which is misleading and also the content is different depending on which link you click . We went in and ordered and was charged £27+ for 1 full english, 1 veg breakfast and tea for two, the breakfast content was not what we had expected due to the menu options on the website not being clear, really not good value for money, the mushrooms were chewy and hard to cut with a knife, the eggs were undercooked, veg sausages were disgusting and the toast came already buttered and cold so was soggy...
Very disappointed with our visit today. I asked if there was a dog friendly menu and I was told that there were doggy sausages available. When they arrived I went to the kitchen to ask if they contained onion to discover that in fact they did! If I had given these to my Shih Tzu she would have been very unwell. Please, please do your research, as you would with human food into dog friendly food. Perhaps the addition of a dog friendly menu? I just hope no other pup has been unwell by eating these sausages. The small shop at the entrance to the park sells dog friendly treats and frozen yoghurt so I am amazed the cafe does not.
After taking our dogs for a walk around the lake, we decided to visit this restaurant on Sunday. We noticed that many of the outdoor tables were not cleared, so we cleared one ourselves. The food and drinks were good, but we were disappointed by the high prices, such as £1.90 for a can of coke and £3.50 for a cheese scone. In my opinion, the prices were too expensive, especially considering the current financial climate. In the future, I will opt to sit on a park bench and bring my own refreshments instead.

We stopped at Lakeside halfway through our walk around the park. It was extremely busy but the staff were friendly and extremely efficient. The breakfast was lovely and my daughter loved her waffles! A young lad called Kyle was always working hard and cleaning and clearing tables I was extremely impressed considering how young he looked! Brilliant staff and delicious food! Will definitely be back again!
After a long walk round Ferry Meadows we been calling in at Lakeside for breakfast on a Saturday morning for a number of years. To be told this morning that poached eggs are no longer on the menu was very disappointing. They did cook me some but they were not to the normal standard. We will be going elsewhere for breakfast from now on.
From our first meeting with Louise- the events manager- to the party itself, we were listened to and our wishes were accommodated. The venue looked fabulous on the night- sparkly and welcoming. The staff were helpful- and well done to the bar staff- a lot of drinks were served! Thanks again, Louise!!
On a Sunday afternoon, I had been walking for a while and was passing through Ferry Meadows when I decided to stop at this restaurant. It was around 11:10, and after finding a table, I looked at the menu and immediately craved the American-style pancakes.
