L'Alexain - Réserver une table

We were here with a voucher from our hotel which was part of an extremely economical package deal. It wouldn´t be fair, therefore, to expect top-notch.We got boursin cheese rolled in ham with green salad, lamb roast with beans and roast potato, two cheeses and a vacherin glacé, all of which was adequate but unremarkable except the vacherin which included ice cream that had obviously just been taken from a freezer set at one kelvin, whipped cream from a pressurized can and no meringue.Well, as I said--you can't have it cheap and eat it rich. The food on some of the adjacent tables gave me the impression they could probably do somewhat better. The wine we ordered with our food, a pitcher of straightforward pinot noir rosé, was decidedly overpriced, though.

Although the food was good, if a bit underseasoned, the restaurant is worth a visit for the decor. It provides a fascinating vision of an upscaled version of a traditional Alsatian Winstub or traditional restaurant. Unfinished wooden floors in an elegant pattern, bank seating around the perimeter, and tile stove or two, and an intricately decorated ceiling are just some of the attractions. The service was good as well. .

A nicely local style decorated place, offering quite tasty and reasonable priced menus, based on local alsacian, and not so local but definitely French specialities, changing daily. The restaurant's card is not very large, but the menu is just more a value. The service is excellent, they really take care of you. You'll leave the place really happy .

We had our Dinner in the restaurant of this hotel we slept in another. The Meals were varied every evening, tasted good. Portions not to big but sufficiant. Service in a good tempo and very friendly.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is very good, I recommend the scargots and the foie. They have a big variety. The restaurant is really nice decorated and the service was good.
