Alta vista is located on the beach shore of Porticcio with a perfect view on Ajaccio. The staff is very friendly and the food is simply delicious! It is expensive but it is worth every penny. From the apero till the dessert everything taste just perfect. The food, especially the fish, tastes and looks like it comes straight from the sea. We really enjoyed the linguine with crab, the steak with grilled potato's and the grilled lobster. Even the dessert was quite impressive and delicious. If you are in the neighbourhood of Porticcio or Pietrosella and looking for a restaurant, do go here!
This restaurant was the saving grace of my trip to Corsica. Fantastic location, delightful staff, fantastic well constructed dishes and a professional but friendly air. It’s location is superb, right on point to watch the sunsets, visible from all tables but bag one by the front window for unobstructed views. Like most places in Corsica all communications are in French however the staff were exceptionally helpful with recommendations. If I ever come back to Corsica (read my Hotel Sofitel review) I would stop by this excellent restaurant again. A sheer delight,
We came to this restaurant having read many good reviews on Tripadvisor. First impression upon entering the restaurant was good: great unblocked seaview, nice ambience and friendly staff. However, the food was disappointing: the pork was overcooked and served with a watery sauce, scallops were miniscule, dessert tasted of flour and not much else, etc. For the same price level, there are many better restaurants in the vicinity. We would definitely not go back.
Lunch was perfect with nice view and a very honest owner. As they were very busy he did not want to take us. He thought they will not be able to keep up with his standards if too many tables are busy. We went one hour later back and njoyed good food and service. Reserve place on terrace front row. Best is corner place to the right.
