I'm so sorry to write this, but we were really disappointed with our meal. Starters was a fish cake and tarter sauce. The fish cack was a frozen birds eye one. Mains I had batted haddock and chip, well skinny fries which were anemic and by the time you've ate 3 the rest are cold. Chicken tikka which was just like a meal deal from Tesco. Pulled pork chilli..... I believe they are new to the business and really hope they improve but they totally need to look at the food Thier serving. We went for Sunday lunch on the 24th September and we will not be returning. We ordered the beef brisket which was very tough and came with cold vegetables, what tasted like small frozen Yorkshire pudding and frozen roast potatoes and a very small drop of gravy.. Another 2 tables had similar issues and we all spoke to the young waitresses about it,they apologised and said they would feed back to the boss, in the meantime a couple on the next table decided not to order and left. The manager or chef did not come and speak to any of those who had issues but left it to the 2 young waitresses to deal with it. Called in for a few drinks with friends. Ended up looking at the menu witch was great. I had the steak and my maye had the fish and another had the curry. Curry was home made and amazing the fish was just the best a massive fish more like a shark. As fir the steak I asked for rare and it came out perfect. Great size meals and the staff was great could not do enough for you. A great place will be visiting again
What a fantastic Sunday lunch. I had the beef. The Mrs had the belly pork and my daughter had the turkey Beef melt in the mouth Belly pork. Unbelievable Turkey was cooked well Homemade yourkshire puddings. Fresh vegetables. Crispy roast potatoes and a very good gravy. Not as good as mine though. We were very happy and can’t wait to come back. The girls serving us were excellent.

Arrived at 13:05 and then waited until 14:20 to actually get any food. By this point, my kids were starving and upset. They also served a table that arrived after us their starters before we had received our meals. Rubbish service. Won't be returning, which is a shame as the food has always been great. Seems like it's gone downhill now, the change in owners.
We visited on the 24th September and didn’t have the best experience and put it down to teething issues. So we visited again today Sunday 1st October to give it another chance. I have to say what a turn around. The beef dinner was absolutely outstanding and the service was first class. A big thank you to you all. We will be returning.
Popped in for a week day evening meal, service was fast and friendly, I had the chilli which was the perfect portion size, slight kick but not overly spicy, and my 2 sons a kids burger. My 1 son has an allergy and the team was able to tell me what he could have and they had dessert to accommodate his needs. Will definitely be back.
The best Sunday lunch ive had in years. Good size portions, great tasting food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Will be back soon. A very big thank you the team

We had a lovely meal and drink in this pub. The staff were very welcoming and obliging. No one rushed us and we took our time. Highly recommended for a visit on any occasion.
What a lovely little pub. Open fires. Traditional country pub Superb Sunday Lunch. Superb service. Would highly recommend
