Our overnight visit to Bären Madiswil was a wonderful experience from start to finish with many great surprises. The rooms are very nicely decorated and very clean. The garden, a cozy place that makes you want to stay. Just beautiful. Dinner a poem. The starters, tartare and tomato mozzarella salad with basil pesto, were perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. But the highlight for us was the main course. Herb quark spaetzli with beef stroganoff. The meat was cooked to perfection, the spaetzli were crispy/fluffy and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. Simply a poem. You can't do it better. In 2022 we were ignored by the host several times. So I rated the restaurant with only one star. In response to this bad review, Mr. Binnemann contacted me immediately, apologized and asked for a second chance. Today we went to the Bären restaurant again. We sat at the round table in the middle of the dining room. Ms. Binnemann walked past our table probably 10 times, no “Grüezi”, no “En Guetä”! Mr. Binnemann was also seen briefly at the next table. You don't feel welcome here! It's a shame for the good cuisine and the very friendly staff. Perhaps today's hosts should have looked over the shoulders of their predecessors (Fam Ingold) for longer. The bear is definitely no longer an option for...
The restaurant is really typical and charming with an awesome garden in the backyard, very romantic with lots of plants and lanterns. The food is tasty, plates are served with care and nicely presented. Service is perfect and staff friendly. The place has a great wine cellar, with old frescos, where you can taste wines on special events. My friend and I asked the waitress to have a quick look at it, which she did with great pleasure. Surely a nice restaurant to stop by for a relaxing evening!
We had a Business lunch here and it was amazing. The Restaurant is a traditional old house from the last century. But all renovated nicely. The garden were we had lunch was nicely decorated and perfect for a good lunch. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The Food was amazing... I will be back for sure... Good Job...
