What a great address for the vacation we imagined. The Engel family and their team are such wonderful hosts. We couldn't have done better. The accommodation, the location, the care, the food, the tips from the host, everything was such that we had a great holiday and will have fond memories of our time in the Wachau. Dear Engel family, you and your team are just plain crazy, as we say in Berlin. We say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Simone and Matthias Rooms: The rooms were large and functionally equipped. Everything was very clean and we didn't miss anything. We were there from 23.-30.7. I can only say one thing: amazing ,fantastic,friendly,excellent. And that wasn't always the case in other inns at the time. The room was awesome. The food is a stunner, such a great filling meal for a more then normal money. The entire staff so friendly. Also the location and the real thing: a great place to stay for cyclists. There is a garage for the bikes with the possibility to charge the battery. If something breaks down on the bike, Mr. Engel takes care of it. Otherwise we had said 2 small problems in the room for breakfast, after breakfast everything was taken care of. We have never experienced anything like this and we are very fond of travelling. Lovely friendly place run by a man with a personal passion for cycling and, I suspect, great service. As well as being a perfect location on the main Danube cycling route it also offers a secure garage with bike tools and charging points for electric bikes. Service on the terrace overlooking the Danube was excellent and when he offered us an off-menu recommendation for a bottle of wine we were delighted with what he brought us. If you are cycling the Danube and need an overnight stop, look no further!
