Laneway Co - Réservation de table

Tucked away on High Bridge and taking inspiration for its band from the Melbourne Laneways? This small cafe offers up the only Allpress coffee to be found between York and Edinburgh. Simply laid out and functional it attracts folk who are after both decent coffee and some wifi access. We had regular and decaf flat white and they were two of the best we’ve tasted in Newcastle. Certainly the best in the city centre. Well crafted, tidy barista skills and just the right temperature and extraction. This will be my go to coffee stop when in town.

The food was nice and the coffee was amazing. However, once I had payed for my iced coffee I was told there was none of an ingredient I had payed extra for. I then was offered an iced latte which I accepted but realised afterwards that this was priced cheaper than what I had originally ordered and payed for. I was not refunded for this, it was not a huge problem because it wasn’t much money but I think it seemed quite unprofessional of the staff to not consider that.

It is very rare to find a café that serves excellent coffee. This is one. They don’t drown the coffee in milk and the flavours of the coffee are wonderful. Just happened upon it whilst wandering around looking for a café. The tray bakes are delicious too!

We enjoyed our visit to this café on a Sunday morning when it was quite peaceful. The coffee was very reasonably priced at £4.80 for two flat whites. It was good quality coffee, but the only downside for us was that it was served in paper cups. Réservez une table maintenant

Called into the little place in a quiet side street and had the best bacon bap I’ve every had….so many miss the mark with a simple dish ..but they nailed it ..oh and the cakes are wonderful too..Give it a go you won’t be disappointed

This coffee shop is located in a character side street just off Grey Street. it has a large and well laid out interior and probably the best coffee in Newcastle. We had two flat whites, which cost £6.20.

I've been visiting for about 2 years and I've never been disappointed. The coffee is on point and service is always spot on. My one gripe... bring back the delicious carrot cake!

Called in here for coffee and cake. Tea, coffee and cake (passionfruit) all excellent. Our first visit, it definitely won't be our last.

Perfect at all levels whether coffee, dessert, wi fi, people or atmosphere. Flat white (my favourite) is made well here.
