This is a small bar restaurant in the square at Besalú... we were welcomed by the waiter and made very welcome despite our minimal Spanish. As it was raining he was busy checking that people were not getting wet and drying chairs and tables. We chose the €14.50 menu and enjoyed the patatas d’Olot and cannelloni to start. They were clearly pre prepared but served piping hot... we then had the lamb and frites which was 3 well seasoned chuletas with fresh and crispy fries. Finally we had the cheesecake and crema Catalana, which was a little over browned but perfectly acceptable. The menu also includes beer or wine... good value I would say. Very well situated right next to the church, the place offers a lot: people watching, sitting outside, relaxing. Food and service was very well. I liked the fact that they have lots of tipical Catalán food on the menue. Especially liked the Cannelonies. 15 EUR is a fair price. No tourist trap at all.
Estábamos a principios de octubre en Besalú y encontramos un lugar en la terraza de este pequeño restaurante. Pedimos el menú y el precio de calidad de relación era correcto, la comida era buena. El personal tenía razón.
Stopped off for a beer and a portion of chips. Nothing fancy served quickly with no fuss. Toilet very basic and the washing facilities even more (medieval almost) For what we had the price was reasonable. Just average

We were in Besalú at the beginning of October and we found a place on the terrace of this small restaurant. We ordered the menu and the value for money was correct, the food was good. The staff was correct.

We had an amazing experience. We spent a few hours there for a business meal. First course a salad with delicious goat cheese
Poor service, food served cold. Long wait for mediocre quality food. Not very clean looking. Big mistake to try it.
