In many reviews it says “we will be back”. Well, we were back almost exactly one year after our first visit. It was like coming back to visit old friends. The owners recognized us (maybe because of the same pink shirt I was wearing the previous year as well). We arrived at 7pm sharp, only to find out that they actually open at 7:30…. No problem, we were seated and got a very fresh and fruity tasting local Rosé wine bottle. The ambiance and cozy atmosphere, as well as the friendliness of the folks are one of a kind. For starters we chose the octopus salad and the daily special which included eel, as well as a swordfish carpaccio, it was absolutely delightful. For main course we had the lamb as well as the beef carpaccio. The quality of the products, the seasoning used, the presentation, they are all second to none. After main course we opted to indulge ourselves into a second Rosé bottle because…. Why go somewhere else if you rather stay right where you are…. The time passed, the restaurant filled up and emptied again. Alright, dessert time! It just had to be the brownie…. A fitting finish to a glorious evening. The owners enjoy running their little place. They are gracious hosts by design, hence no surprise regarding the consistency and quality of the food at L’archivolto. Also worth mentioning is the fact that if we had ordered the same dishes and wine in a restaurant by the harbor, we would have paid over double the price we paid here. We will be back…. Again… definitely
Excellent meal, very good value, excellent service with a smile. I could stop there, and just say I give it five stars. We live in Corsica (but not Bonifaccio and so are used to some places that let's say are tourist traps. That definitely is not the case here, the team running the place were very efficient, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent, I had the vegetarian lasagne (goats cheese, aubergine, tomato which was excellent and came with a great salade. My wife had tuna tartare which was lovely. Our friend had just a starter (foie gras . Everything we had was fresh and cooked perfectly (although it was only the lasagne that needed cooking!!! . And the deserts also were delicious, and made in house. The decor was also very interesting and added an extra touch to the experience. We'll be back next time we are in town!
Not sure how they even got the 2022 Gault Millau award [and still get concierge hotel recommendations]. We will not be back. We went for dinner. Offered the “last table” which in fact was not. Service was poor, think : drink order forgotten, water bottle dumped unopened on the table, plates left until we piled them up for them to collect. inattentive service overall. Worst of all food was VERY average too and overpriced. What a disappointing evening. Ignore the hype.
Found completely randomly in the vast choice of Bonifacio restaurants, it became a great experience. Excellent food, professional and nice personnel, nice place, right price. Not easy in Bonifacio where the majority of places are just average quality and very expensive price
