Absolutely adore this restaurant! When you enter- the cozy decor greets you the friendly staff welcome you to a wonderful experience. I've been to a few Portuguese restaurants on LI their claim to be the best might just be spot on! Start with the sangria- both white red are excellent! Fresh fruit, not too sweet, not too strong but it will definitely creep up on you ! The shrimp appetizer- Camarao ao Alho- delicious shrimp with a delicious sauce with just enough spice. I've been several times each visit I try a new entree- everything is delicious- especially the Junior Paelha, Mariscada a Lareira the Grilled Skirt Steak. I recently hosted a retirement party here for about 40 guests Excellent value , service amazing food. Dinner was buffet however the appetizers desserts were abundantly served family style. Excellent grilled ribs!!! Pedro the owner was wonderful to work with. The group had such a great time they asked me to plan our holiday party here! I'm also considering offsite catering for a summer bbq.
Utterly fantastic. Some of the best food I’ve had in Mineola. My wife and I went here for a celebration of our IVF journey, and Pedro, the owner, came over and asked us what we’re celebrating and talked to us for a while. He was super nice. I’d come back just because I want his restaurant to succeed. Other than that, the food was AMAZING! We had the cognac shrimp which was fantastic, I got the whole branzino and my wife got the duck which was the best part of the meal. All the food was utterly excellent. We will definitely be back.
