Escaping the tourist dens and following my nose, I did what is often rewarding and walked in a few lanes from the Roses seafront. Quite soon my attention was caught by a technicolor display of table linen, plates and old style cutlery. I was enticed and the list of displayed awards hooked me in. A very friendly lady greeted me and suggested the 3 course meal for Euro 25. This sounded attractive and I agreed. Well, the starter was a selection of 6 very different tasters and was magnificent. I then went for the fabulous white fish, which was served on a bed of spicy potatoes and mixed veg. I skipped desert and was offered a digestive instead. It was just Wonderful. An experience and exceptional value for money. When in Roses you would be wise to seek out this little Jewel in the Lane.

We ate here as a family of four (parents and two older teenagers). When we booked the owner explained clearly to us how it worked : There is a set, “surprise” starter which is the same for everyone and then we choose the main course. The food was excellent and the service friendly and relaxed. It felt like being in someone’s home. Others have commented that there was a lack of visibility over the prices. The set menu price was clearly indicated on the blackboard. It’s true that we did not see a menu for the prices of the sangria and the desert but they were reasonable when the bill came. The Sangria was €6.

Nice and cozy restaurant just outside the major touristic area. Absolute plus is the absence of the ugly photos with food that you can order. A super friendly waitress is presenting the menu and is very help-full. The staff is nice, the food is fresh and good, nice collection of wines, and also the location is for a touristic area as good as it can be. We have late lunch outside, but you have also take a look inside.

just amazing. Warm and friendly service by Isabelle, who is an absolute darling, and wonderful food by the chef Hosni. They run this little jewel of a restaurant together, pay great attention to details and spoil you rotten. A must if you go around the area.
