My company had booked me into the hotel Carmen and on my first evening the receptionist there told me that the restaurant was very good. Of course she would say that, I thought. But she was spot on. I ordered from a Spanish menu and chose the sollomillo of the house. My chilled white wine was brought along with the bread basket which I refused, since I am gluten intolerant. I didn 't have the Spanish for this, just said ' allergies ' . The waiter immediately came back with the menu and explained that the dish I had ordered contained 'farina ' and recommended the same meat but grilled. It was absolutely delicious, as were the grilled vegetables that came with it . I shall certainly be eating...
