This is one of my classics in ponferrada, which I've gone on many occasions. their situation is unbeatable, facing the castle, and in summer they mount a terrace at the foot of it, very nice especially for dinner under the illuminated castle. this restaurant is quite famous in the city, and it is the same owners of the hostel the oak, which is located on the back street the interior of the restaurant is very curious. it has two heights, street and basement, and is decorated in a very rustic way, with lots of wood and stone. the upper floor has a large central hole, from where you can see the whole ground floor, being the tables arranged around, in a kind of corridor. We went to this beautiful restaurant located in front of the castle of the ponferrada, first we ordered one of octopus and second bit, in terms of wine the waiter suggested to us a xestal, last of chestnut cake and cheesecake, both were made at home. It's not cheap, but for food and the place is worth it. We will repeat! fourth time in this restaurant, the very good ear, now the octopus I have to say that has disappointed me. besides paying for a ration 27€, the reheated octopus, dry paprika, without salt, lower ration and the oil gum. You can't put a ration like that for that money.

I don't know, everything you asked for dinner was out of a letter, and it was a great success. the waiters were very attentive, pleasant and thus the successful recommendations the price? two dishes, dessert, bread, wine and coffee 32. It didn't seem anything expensive considering price of quality. of course a place to recommend.

Don't disappoint. the exquisite pancakes and croquettes, as well as the typical lemonade in the ponferrada holy week. It is very nice inside, but eating outside on the terrace overlooking the castle is worthwhile. the attention also very good.

I knew the site was expensive, but it disproved me as much as they took advantage when we asked for algn dish out of lyrics: pads to 9 croquettes 14 (I left the croquette to 1.2 the very nice place.
