The horchata was amazing! I ordered the carne asada plate, and it was simply delicious! The rice with the steak was fantastic—I wanted more! The flavor was truly impressive. The service was pretty good; our drinks arrived in about 3 minutes, and the food followed in just 10 minutes. They even treated us to complimentary soup. I'm really pleased with this place and I'm certain I'll be back for another visit!
I found the food to be excellent at this restaurant. Our server was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The place was also very clean. The only downside was that it took a while for them to return to our table. Even when we tried to pay the bill, we had to wait about 15 minutes, as our server seemed to have disappeared.
There are only one handful of good restaurants in the South Gate/Downey/Paramount area and you can definitely add them to the list. Burned with a bad location, i.e. hard to find near shopping center, but at least adjacent to (directly south of) Sam's Club. General portions and excellent foods that fulfill a variety of tastes.
"Anniversary" – I've dined at many Melting Pot locations, and this one was by far the best! The four-course meal was absolutely fantastic. Our server, Shane, was exceptional—probably one of the best I've ever had. We particularly enjoyed the salad with peppermint ranch as part of the 'Steak Lovers' menu... Réservez une table maintenant
