Came back to Denia this year after two years and went straight to look for Vincenzo and our favourite bar. Gutted to find it all closed up and gone. Walking back to our apartment and delighted to find he has moved over the road into new premises! Service still the same, very friendly but this bar is four times the size and they are now doing great food. Vincenzo is now being helped full time by his wife who does most of the cooking just finishing off four months travelling round Spain and her paella is by far the best we have had (and best value). Also great to meet their daughter and two sons who are also helping out in the bar. Whole place is spotless and they are trying very hard in this...
Las Olas es un local donde debes venir sin prejuicios, sin prisa y con tiempo...de esta manera sacarás el máximo partido a una comida, merienda de cumpleaños infantil o cena informal. Especial mención merecen los siguientes platos: -Sardinas a la plancha -Mejillones al vapor -Calamares -Tellinas -Tacos de atún Y no se puede obviar una amplia selección de 25 Pizzas caseras al horno que seguro no defraudarán y cuyo precio oscilan los 8-9,50 €. Dispone de una agradable terraza cubierta con zona infantil así como una amplia sala para visualizar eventos deportivos. Conveniente reservar en temporada alta y partidos de interés. Si queréis una copa, la variedad no os va a sorprender...el precio sí....
We love stopping by Las Olas and hanging out with our German and Spanish friends. Vincente and his family have always been wonderful, accomodating hosts. The prices are excellent and the the food is tasty, especially the bocadillos and pizzas. Vincente goes all out on occasion. His puchero is the stuff of legends, and I still have pleasant dreams about the lamb shank he served on Christmas Eve.
La comida bien la cocinera de diez,pero un camarero un borde no sé cómo lo tienen cara al público,nos trató fatal y nos llamó sinvergüenzas,por ese motivo no hemos vuelto

Trato amable, comida sencilla. Buena fritura de pescado, mejillones ricos, zamburiñas quizás un poco simples, pizza casera buena. Buen precio. Recomendable.
