I walked in said good morning the lady at the counter went about her business like no one was there. I ordered some Chilaquiles. They had way too much salt. I saw when the guy was cooking he was adding salt to everything. the chips that just came out of the hot oil. he put ALOT of salt. when he put the beans on the bottom of the dish, he poured salt on top of that. When he was melting the cheese with the green chile, he added yet more salt. I'm sure the taste would have been ok minus so much salt. Not the best customer service at all. no smiles. the 2 employees there at the time looked unhappy Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
It says all sandwiches come with beans, tomato, onion, AVOCADO, mayo ect. I paid and extra 2.00 for extra avocado and this was what I got. Don't be fooled by the close up, it was as thick as 2 of the slices of ham. Bread smooshed and saturated with butter. The super sandwich was ok just because it was soo big and reminded me of the super campisinos in Peru. Definitely will find another place next time I have a torta craving. 2 sandwiches and flan, no chips, no drink, pre tipped 25% online...$42. not the best bang for your buck I'd say.
Friends I heard about this storefront place and being in the area stopped in for lunch. Wow! The sandwiches are massive and the menu huge trying to decide which to have took a minute or two. They were also made fresh but we only had to wait about 10 minutes at one of the tables. The bread was soft inside with the slightest bit of a thin crispy crust. Service was great and the counterman recommended his favorite which I had with steak, cheese, ham and more. I'll go again when near there. Gotta try a breakfast sandwich next time.
who has not ordered a Torta sandwich from tortugas here in denver is missing out! order the guera! do it! with fine cut chicken, perfectly boiled, avocado, melted cheese, tomato and jalapenos, all on the fresh toast brot is it heaven! (they are so friendly, even if they are not Spanish speaking I have been excellent for several years and are here delicious!

The experience was unbelievable. The restaurant owner was very kind and personally explained the fresh ingredients they used. They then recommended a steak and cheese sandwich that was out of this world. I will definitely be returning, the food was amazing and the service was incredible.
This is a really good place to eat Tortas, BUT recently I went to Viva Mexicoffee shop and that is the real deal!!! Nothing against las tortugas but I have a new favorite place. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
Our maintenance and housekeeping staff enjoy gathering at this restaurant to enjoy their delicious sandwiches. The meals are always great and the staff are very friendly. The jalapeños are especially spicy and add a nice kick to the sandwiches.
Breakfast burritos way more expensive than any other breakfast burrito place around. How you gonna charge extra for cheese on a breakfast burrito? No thanks!
