We went to Lasbela for Houston Restaurant week. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by the owner, who graciously found us a seat in the packed restaurant even though we didn’t have a reservation. I was very impressed with our server Ali’s thoroughness in describing all of the dishes that we ordered even though it was unprompted, as well as recommending an alternate flavored margarita that other customers thought wasn’t as sweet as the original one we had planned to get. Restaurant has simple decor, and plenty of seats for big and small groups. Service was great. My waitress gave recommendations, and advices on spice level for different dishes. She was attentive and polite too.My friend and I came for lunch, and we had the Lasbela mutton karahi, murgh malai handi, and garlic naan. The mutton karahi had the right amount of spice. The meat was tender, and the gravy was flavorful. The murgh malai handi was creamy, and not spicy. The chicken pieces are slightly over cooked but the flavors were great. For people who can’t handle spice but would like to just-do-it, consider ordering the mutton karahi and murgh malai handi because the cream in murgh malai handi bal...
Excellent pakistani food!The karai chicken was extremely flavorful..served traditionally in the black wok(karahi), the garlic naans complimented the flavorful thick gravy..The lamb chops were sizzled to perfection, right spice, well done.Everything we ordered was exemplary, including the Shikan jabeen (mojito) and the kheer.The restaurant staff were welcoming and courteous, and kudos to the owner in taking personal interest in ensuring his patrons are well taken care of.Highly recommended desi restaurant with unmatched quality!Will surely come back to try more of their specials!
Ashish was really amazing. The food was really really good and plentiful. We went there for Houston restaurant week and for $39 a person, we had so much food that just the first course alone (out of 4 courses) was enough to put us to sleep and I mean a really good sleep. We will definitely recommend and put our foodie stamp of approval. Even the desert was amazing. I can't stress this enough. Get our boy Ashish a raise. Réservez une table maintenant
Was recommended this place by a coworker, when we got here they were just cleaning up after a large banquet but they were still very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent! I went with mild/medium spicy and all the flavors were just fantastic, don't skip out on dessert either! Would definitely come back :
Excellent service. The owner, Mr Aziz personally oversees the service aspect of the business which makes Lasbela one of the best restaurants in Houston by all standards. The menu has a broad variety of dishes and food quality is always consistent. Great decor and atmosphere.
