Our hotel recommended this original but inconceivable restaurant in the center of the city and the best advice he gave was to hear the recommendations... We did exactly that, Starter was the stuffed Rosor Clams, then one had the lamb (boiled to perfection, my daughter of the Parmentier de Cabillaud incredible, and I had the slowly cooked squid with oysters that was absolutely amazing. A strawberry and a Damme Blanche for Dessert were beautifully designed classics with a twist. I can't stress that enough, just the best meal we had in years... Even the house wine at the parking lot was perfect with the meal, as recommended by the owner. Merci Madame, nous allons sans doute revenir :
On an icey February night this was an inviting oasis. The menu and the wine list are very limited, but then discover that Madame Koch, waitress and host everything in one is understandable. We noticed that another customer had something not on the menu and was told that it was marmite de pecheur, so we had that and it was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Indulgently cooked fish with lashes of cream, flageolet beans and carrot served in a large glass bowl, excellent. Wine on the bottle is not cheap, but the Cote de Blaye we had was beautiful. At the end of the evening, although there are only three of us, Madame played guitar and sang.
First great impression, the friendly servers of the small restaurant l’Atelier on Main Street of St-Georges-De-Didonne welcomed us despite the late hour (past 14:30), when closed at 15:00. We had salads “Gourmandes”, steak tartar, carpaccio and deserts. Everything was absolutely delightful. Excellent products prepared with care. Congratulations to the boss. The deserts (vacherin qu cassis, cafe liegeois, dame blanche) were all excellent. Excellent experience. We'll go back with joy!
Delicious food, super service. Leave a friendly atmosphere. Have eaten several times in the last few months and not always disturb to post reviews. We liked everything about L’atelier. During our last visit two nights ago, companion had Kalb and I had Gambas flambé. Both simply cooked, delicious and excellent.
