L'Atelier du Peintre

This was our first meal during a five night stay in Colmar and was by far the best we had during our stay, in fact I can think of few better meals we have ever had. The 8 course tasting menu (85 euro) was fantastic value. I thought at first it may prove to be 'fish heavy' with four courses being fish dishes but with each course offering a new 'wow factor', we were not complaining. The service, wine suggestions, value, in fact every aspect was worthy of the Michelin star, in fact better than a number of 2* restaurants we have previously dined at. Fantastic all round - the only regret is that it is 500 miles from home!

The food is good. It is presented with the elaboration that Michelin stars seem to require. All is decently made. Yet it lacks intensity of flavour and excitement. Service is competent and friendly. Robustly French. The atmosphere is modern, sparse. A pleasant change from the Disneyworld of some Alsation restaurants. Prices are OK.

Had dinner recently that this excellent restaurant in the heart of Colmar. Every part was perfection. The food, the service, the location, nothing was missing. Thank you very much for hosting us and delivering such a great product

In the center ol old Colmar, this is an excellent choice for fine dining. Service is not very fast but very professional. The dishes are prepared with the outmost care.

Wonderful experience to complete my stay in Alsace. Do not miss to book a table, I was lucky to get one outside but inside is more quiet and comfortable.
