My fiancé and I have been passing by this restaurant on our way to work for the last two years, and this morning we finally had the opportunity to stop in. I ordered the vegan breakfast sandwich, and it was absolutely delightful! To my surprise, it came with a side of potatoes and orange slices, which I thought would cost extra. The portion sizes were just perfect. The coffee is freshly ground and brewed to order, and you can really taste the extra care that goes into it. I had a salted caramel latte with oat milk, while he enjoyed a vanilla latte, and we both loved our drinks! The ambiance is charming, featuring a cozy upstairs lounge area with couches, as well as a backyard stage for conce...
As for the food, it was quite inconsistent. I ordered a crepe omelet (which is essentially just a folded omelet—no crepe involved), and that was quite tasty. However, the breakfast potatoes were overly salty. We also tried a waffle, which was just average, and a skillet that was also quite salty.
I had hoped for a different ambiance based on the restaurant's website, which made it look like the rooms of a house (it used to be a residence), but we ended up sitting in an open room that felt rather cold. I'm sure the outdoor area is pleasant during warmer weather.
The prices are a bit higher than average, but I might consider giving it another shot in the summer.
I used GrubHub to order 2 meals. The order arrived quicker then expected but unfortunately 1 of the meals was wrong. I contacted the business and the employee I spoke w/ was incredibly nice and understanding, she immediately offered to refund the cost of the meal that was made wrong. Within a few minutes I received confirmation she had did just that! Accidents happen but businesses arent always so kind and willing to correct their mistakes. I will be ordering again from Lathrop because of their commitment to customer service...oh and the food was great as well!!!
The menu presented an array of enticing choices, but we opted to share the tots loaded with eggs, cheese, sausage gravy, and jalapeños. We were both delighted with our selection! The flavors of all the toppings on the tots harmonized wonderfully. We also ordered a side of breakfast sausage and biscuits with gravy, which we divided and saved to savor as tasty leftovers later.
We certainly had more than enough food, and the total bill for both of us was around $25 for brunch, which I believe is an excellent value!

I was really looking forward to my visit, but my experience quickly went downhill. The iced latte had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste that I didn't like. As for the chicken and waffles, it was disappointing. I was presented with a big lump of fried dough and a small, dry piece of chicken. The waffle was soggy, undercooked, and unexpectedly bitter. Overall, it just didn’t live up to its price.
This is a fantastic place for a filling breakfast. I had the Hot Tots, which are tasty tater tots topped with eggs, jalapeños, and cheese. While the location is a bit tucked away, I actually enjoy that aspect. The restaurant offers parking, a tranquil vibe, and delicious food. I will definitely return, and it's also a favorite among many others.
Charging extra up to 6.00 dollars if you have a second cup of coffee is just a bad business practice. Gosh such a lovely place and I'm sure this has driven away costumers. Typically a person has 2- 2 1/2 cups? I hope the best for the owners and workers here. They are very sweet. However, have chosen another restaurant based on this
I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place. There are plenty of areas to relax, including spots out front, inside the main area, in the den, on the porch, and even a backyard area. I'm interested to see what it's like during the colder months. The staff is friendly, and the coffee is always perfect. The prices are reasonable too.
