L'auberge De Marie

We had lunch here on Sunday 5 September. It was recommended by a local inhabitant we met in the streets, and we 're so glad to have met her! We had assiette volailler and the grilled chicken was perfect. We also had what they call salade de terroir which has ravioles and tourtons. We met Marie, the owner, who was also serving the customers. The restaurant was full and we got a table (unreserved) only because we went early on the dot of 12:00. A definite if you 're in St Bonnet. Truly delicious and great service. Total bill: 35 euros.

There is an excellent chef behind this simple menu. Presentation and cooking were outstanding. To deliver beef and magret de canard together, both cooked to individual perfection, is an art. Scallops and prawns also served absolutely a point, properly cooked but still juicy. Recommended.

I've fallen in love with their seafood kebab so rarely eat anything else, but the rest of the family gives rave reviews to other items. It's a workingman's lunch place so we knew the food would be good going in. The outdoor seating area is a nice amenity

This restaurant offers very good food, beautifully presented, and the service is excellent. I recommend it highly.
