I almost feel bad for reviewing and not letting this stay a secret! Very friendly place for a light lunch away from the crowds by the apparently pointless Le Lac chairlift (intended mainly for the large free car park). It is unusual in the Alps...to find a snack bar where they’ll remember your name if you come back later in the week but this is one. At the end of the week in Feb they brought us our food to our table. This year I noticed them offering another group free drinks after their meal as it was their last day. So what if you have to go to the lift station to use the toilets because their septic tank isn’t big enough! A tip for getting there- don’t take the Green piste all the way as...
Called in here on a snowy cold morning for a quick coffee break to warm up for a few minutes. When we entered the restaurant the host told us it was “not possible for coffee” because he was about to get ready for lunch.. it was the place was virtually empty! Have never been greeted like that in a mountain restaurant anywhere in the world ever. No doubt the toilets weren’t working either because they never are and it’s not unusual to have to trek across the piste to use the loo at the lift station. Miserable little place give it a wide berth.
Cheap basic cooking passable food service friendly but best of all tucked away from the masses so never really busy but you do need to book sometimes as inside it is small . However decor is stuck in a friendly time warp very...strange place but I do visit for a soup or something simple . Worth a visit but it’s local basic food do not expect Michelin standards . At the end of a green run and a very easy person chairlift starts outside the door .
An excellent and unpretentious place tucked away at the end of the Arolle (green) run at the edge of the Flaine ski area before entering Les Carroz. The food is delightfully simple and quick, which works well maximising time on the slopes and it wasn't...too busy. Well worth dropping by

La brasserie est idéalement située près du parking, de la caisse et du premier télésiège pour atteindre Flaine. Belle terrasse, accueil agréable, carte de brasserie diversifiée à un prix raisonnable dans un chalet... Une pause s'impose.
We found this purely by accident and found it charming, lovely alpine decor inside and hearty alpine fare. The owner is good fun regardless of what the other reviews say, I think he can read people rather well...
Service très bon, nous avons été accueillis avec un petit jeu pour notre petit ****. La tartiflette était délicieuse, tout comme leur madame crunch. Recommandé pour une pause.
Not a gourmet restaurant but worth a visit on the mountain for quick stop. Nothing more to say but trip advisor wont pist with more letters
