I worked overtime this Sunday morning, and since I work nights, I was really looking forward to some menudo by 8:00 AM to kickstart my day. Unfortunately, it was very watery and lacked flavor. To make matters worse, I received only a tiny piece of lemon—half of a half! Seriously? I would have been fine with just a half, but that little piece was just ridiculous. If the menudo had tasted good, it might have been a different story, but it really didn't. I saw some ladies selling tamales on the side of the road, and next time, I think I’ll give them a try instead. Overall, I’m really disappointed with Tia Laura’s, especially regarding the menudo. I regret even leaving a tip.
I drove all the way from downtown Los Angeles to get a bowl of posole to cure my hangover. Tia Laura's has the best Mexican posole, sopa de res, and sopa de albóndigas in my 20-mile radius. It tastes just like my mom's homemade soups. Be sure to ask for the little spicy hot sauce to enhance your soup—it's fantastic! The only downside for me is their tortillas; they're just like the ones you buy at the supermarket. I wish they offered handmade tortillas or at least a wider variety. I can't speak to the rest of the menu since I haven't tried anything else yet, but I'm a soup lover, so that's likely what I'll be ordering every time.
I love this spot! They serve good meals, their menu is decent, The cook in that restaurant is a specialist, I enjoy very much trying all their dishes. The food is consistently fresh, the attitude towards the customers is friendly. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.
Under new management, I was well attended here, their food is delicious, and the price is okay, I love it, I'm a new customer and I will be coming back when I come to this area... It's small, clean and calm,

I had the asada tacos and birria tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The salsa was spicy but full of flavor. Most importantly, everything was incredibly fresh.
I'm not sure how much meat should be in a large serving of broth, but it only had a small piece. The rice is very good, and it comes with three tortillas.

They claimed to be open until 4 PM on Sundays, but that's untrue. Shaking my head!
