First went here in October - when staying as guest at its neighbouring B&B. Reluctant at first - but took advantage of the set menu, which was a ridiculously bargain price of 15 euros.We didn't do the fine dining a la carte - for which you do need to have slightly deeper pockets.And there is no need as the food was simply awesome - all three courses. Had a beef main and it was truly delicious, while the dessert was to die for. Nous sommes allés au restaurant il y a quelques années et aurions aimé ne pas avoir attendu si longtemps pour revenir. Cette fois, nous avons essayé le Bistrot. Nourriture de qualité supérieure et tellement savoureuse. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Service excellent. On nous a demandé si nous préférions parler anglais ou français (nous aimons pratiquer notre français qui n'est pas adéquat et ils ont été super avec ça ! Accueillant les enfants car il n'y a pas de menu spécifique pour les enfants. Le cadre est magnifique, donc agréable de s'asseoir dehors et profitez de l'ambiance. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir l'année prochaine. Merci
We visited in May and there was only 1 other table occupied that evening. The setting is beautiful with views of a lake set in the woods but it is isolated and easy to drive past. The waiter was welcoming friendly and efficient. The menu was limited but that was fine and expected. The dishes are well executed but not overly incentive for a gastro destination which was a little surprising. The wine list was comprehensive in contrast to the menu.The waiter's recommendation was excellent and also very reasonably priced. All in all it was a very pleasant experience but I wouldn't make a point of returning
Fantastic experience at Lauryvan. Had an incredible meal out on the patio watching the sun set on a beautiful summer evening. The staff was on point all night long, not missing a single detail. I can't say enough good things about the food. We let the chef chose and were rewarded with each course being exceptional, the main course being fish. The flavors popped when the food hit your tongue. The presentation of each plate was crazy, almost a masterpiece. Highly recommend this place. I'll certainly go back when I'm back in town on business in September. 5 stars for the Chef

We have just returned from France and had a lovely meal at Lauryvan.I had read the reviews and understood that there is an auberge and a restaurant.We chose the auberge for the menu du jour and what a treat.The surroundings with the lake are beautiful and the auberge next to the restaurant is lovely.The staff were efficient and polite and the meal,WELL it was delicious.3 courses of perfectly cooked and seasoned food that melted in the mouth.The main for me was the best,fish on top of risotto,MMMMMMMMMMMM.The whole experience was very,verynice and we will be back in June.
Je suis allé au Bistro deux fois et au restaurant une fois, à chaque fois j'ai apprécié une cuisine incroyable, un excellent service et un cadre majestueux. Parce que je suis coeliaque (je dois être sans gluten), il m'est très difficile de manger au restaurant en France, mais les Lauryvan ont non seulement su répondre à mes exigences, mais m'ont en fait proposé un choix d'options, ce qui est rarement le cas. Si vous réservez à l'avance, ils préparent même du pain sans gluten. Je reviendrai!
Situated in a copse outside Saint Junien, this restaurant is well worth a visit. Went there for lunch and were lucky to get the last table in the Auberge part which is cheaper than the actual restaurant. Very good food and friendly service. Their choice of desserts is amazing and they're pretty generous with them. Good value for money. As the place is very popular with the locals, reserving a table is advisable.
Just had an excellent birthday lunch at the restaurant at Lauryvan. While we have eaten in the restaurant and the auberge many times in the past and always enjoyed it, it is even better now. The new chef has added a new dimension and the food is delicious and beautifully presented. A very special place. Congratulations and many thanks again!

We had not visited Lauryvan for some time, and went back for a Sunday lunch. What a treat! Every mouthful full of flavour, and every plate carefully arranged. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and in fact the whole experience. The staff are courteous and well trained, seeming to be on hand without being intrusive. Highly recommended.
2 restaurants on site. Staff friendly and attentive and food excellent. Good value for money. Beautiul location with trees and lake. Lovely to watch sun going down
