The service was extremely slow. We waited 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at our table. Then, after we ordered, the server came back 20 minutes later to tell us the kitchen lost our ticket. She told us the kitchen would put in a rush order for our hummus plate, small salad and two burgers, which still took another 20 minutes. The hummus plate and salad were brought out first while they took another 5 minutes to plate burgers. The food was okay until one of the members at our table noticed a June beetle coming out of his burger! The Sprite was extremely flat but the hummus was really good. Management was unavailable and it was noticed.
If the service were a little quicker, this place would be exceptional. The staff is friendly, and the drinks are fantastic, including gourmet milkshakes. The burgers and fries are also good. I ordered a skillet with their potatoes, house-made garlic chili sauce, shawarma chicken, and two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs—delicious! Just be ready for a relaxed vibe; don't rush, and you'll enjoy a wonderful meal.
Another fantastic discovery in St. Louis! Everything was exceptional. We started with crispy Brussels sprouts, flash-fried with gochujang and topped with candied almonds. They were absolutely delicious!
My friends and I had a fantastic experience at Layla. The food and drinks were outstanding, and we particularly appreciated their selection of locally sourced meats and delicious craft beers!

The burgers here are excellent and a reliable choice whenever you're craving a tasty burger. I particularly enjoyed the Fungus Amongus, followed closely by the Patti Smith and the Fuster.
Great burgers and the vegetarian burger was delicious. They are pricey and I thought we were getting a free birthday dessert since we didn't order it but it was added to our bill.
The server asked all the right questions and provided excellent service in a wonderful atmosphere. The menu featured a clear selection of American and Mediterranean cuisine.

This was my first time at Layla's. The portions were large but well made. Great to have a parking lot next door.
They might have the yummiest burgers in STL. Can't wait to go back and try their shakes!
