We enjoyed a pierrade (duck and beef roasted on a hot stone surface, accompanied by a varied salad and cooked potatoes) and a fondue Savoyarde (cheese fondue with morilles mushrooms in which you dip pieces of bread, accompanied with the same varied salad and a selection of cold meat cuts). All ingredients were super fresh and tastefully presented. We closed off with a nice selection of desserts (L'inimitable café gourmand du 34) and a coffee. Although she was all by herself in the restaurant, the lady of the house took good care of the different tables, while the kitchen (downstairs) managed timing of dishes really well. A very pleasant experience in an enjoyable setting. We'll be back.
J'hésitais quand j'ai vu ce restaurant auparavant car je me sens un peu bizarre avec le nom mdr. Quoi qu'il en soit, comme il n'y a pas beaucoup de restaurant à Serre Chevalier, nous n'avons donc pas beaucoup de choix de toute façon. Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre nourriture et de notre service et même l'endroit est très sympa. Le gars qui a servi était sympa et le prix n'est pas cher aussi. Nous reviendrons probablement et pourrons recommander ce restaurant à nos amis qui vont skier à serre chevalier.
Have veen to a few other restaurants locally and was quite dissappointed.The Tripadvisor ranking made me worry about this restaurant as other higher ones were really quite bad.Nothing to worry about at all, food was great , really did great steak, good pierrad, fabuous deserts.Service was a little up and down, they seems busy chatting a lot , but it would not put me off.All in all this is the best one to try and having been badly let down by others this is the one that should be top.
Nous avons mangé tôt avec les enfants et rien n'était trop, nous avons commandé une pierre chaude (pierrade) avec du bœuf, du canard et du poulet. Des portions ÉNORMES avec de la salade (bien que je ne sois pas sûre que le poulet cru soit placé avec tout le reste de la viande crue et de la salade - même si nous n'en sommes pas tombés malades, cela pourrait en décourager certains!) Menu traditionnel français charmant, bon rapport qualité-prix, nous y retournerions.

We had to wait for over an hour for a very ordinary meal.The two waiters were relatively friendly, and to their excuse the place was full. But we did watch several tables, who arrived after us, get served and actually get their desert before we had got our main course.More staff needed in ski season!
Un excellent repas à Saint-Chaffrey. Le personnel était très sympathique et les plats étaient de bonne taille pour les cyclistes affamés. twowheeltours reviendra manger là-bas lors de notre prochain passage à Saint-Chaffrey.
Nous sommes allés dîner en famille ici. La serveuse n'était pas très sympathique. Les repas pour enfants étaient bons et les frites étaient excellentes. Les grosses crevettes étaient trop cuites dans le plat de nouilles.
