Nous recherchions simplement un endroit agréable pour manger sans aller dans les restaurants haut de gamme du quartier. Le Bacchus était exactement le restaurant que nous recherchions ! Clarisse était à la porte pour nous accueillir et nous a montré notre table. Même si l'intérieur du Bacchus n'est pas aussi chic que celui des restaurants haut de gamme, il était bien agencé et nous faisait penser à un bon restaurant familial. Nous n'avons choisi qu'une seule assiette et c'était un gros magret de canard. C'était délicieux! Le prix n'était que de 20 euros. Ma femme a pris un magret aux abricots et au miel. Très bien également ! Et le prix était de 27 euros. Le vin rouge de Bordeaux était correct mais pas très bon. Juste une remarque négative sur la façon dont mon magret a été servi. il y avait une grande couverture de papier d'aluminium dessus. Mais nous avons dû le retirer maladroitement pour ne pas avoir à le couper en mangeant. Dans l'ensemble, le prix est correct et l'expérience culinaire au Bacchus en vaut la peine.
We were desperate that night as other restaurants were either closed or full. And it was a nice surprise in a modest way. Clarisse in charge of service was efficient though a tad unsmiling (I think this is probably unusual). The garden environment was very pleasant. But I chose the cassoulet which was foolish as it usually disappoints and this was no exception. But the other dishes were ok (we were a large party) if unimaginative and the price quite acceptable.
We were the only 3 people for lunch now I know why it was freezing cold and found the welcome about the same, we had the menu that had nice picture of a roast chicken the soup was good, but a small reheated chicken turned up and had that taste of reheated food,the desert was no better. We went on the views we read on Tripadvisor and whoever wrote the reviews should not be allowed to write another review. AViOD
We have used this little restaurant on numerous occasion over the years. It is run by a charming lady who provides very good food and excellent service. There is a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, with the latter being situated in her back garden, away from the traffic. It is great value for money, and a romantic way to spend an evening.
