Le Barbier qui fume Vieux-Lille

Le Barbier fumé is a French restaurant specializing in smoked meat associated with the recipe of the northern region of France Les Ch 'tis in the city of Lille and is the only one to offer this type of dish. The restaurant is built in an old modernized building and is located in the old Lille district. Places are limited and reservations are recommended. Meat or fish are smoked by the restaurant owner himself. The accompaniments are prepared with fresh and local products and are home-cooked. The restaurant offers good French wines for your lunch or dinner. There is no parking space around the restaurant. There is nothing to say about the value for money.

We were seated outside which was nice, as it was still sunny. We ordered Le Short-Ribs de boeuf, Le Gravlax de truite fumée, La Souris d'Agneau au thym et au romarin and one fish and chips from the kids menu. My lamb was fantastic, the only regret is that there was no bread to polish the plate! Everyone else loved their dish as well. And for quality and quantity (and compared to current UK standards) the whole meal was fairly priced as well. Can’t wait to visit again!

The restaurant was in a cluster with several others on both sides of the pedestrian concourse so had to hunt for its sign. Service was attentive and pleasant. Food portions were plentiful and taste was quite good not great) . Overall a nice casual spot.

Repas très décent et à prix raisonnable non loin du centre de Lille. Les ailes de poulet en entrée étaient correctes suivies d'un steak tendre, parfaitement cuit avec presque pas de gras. Facile Lille Bosh. Andre Gomez est nul.

Very busy during Saturday lunch time. Correct service, but a little slow when I was there. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Decent beer. Better than 3 but worse than 4 .
