Le Bateleur - Réserver une table

We had seen the high recommendations on TA for this restaurant and happened to walk by it on our stroll to the upper old town of Vaison. The gentleman in there was very nice and was able to confirm a reservation for two of us the next evening. We had a terrific meal of poisson sauvage, a salmon-like fish that was really good paired with a local white wine! The desserts were exceptional and despite being so full, we ate every bit! We had a glimpse of the beautiful river before it got dark. Service was attentive and the pace of our meal was great! We agree with all of the great reviews and the Michelin plate rating!

Nous avons appelé juste avant d'entrer dans Vaison-la-Romaine et on nous a dit qu'ils pouvaient nous donner une table en terrasse. La terrasse est en face du restaurant, assez petite. Ils proposent une sélection de menus avec 2 ou 3 plats. Nous avons eu le choix de 3 plats, soit 45 euros par personne. Ils apportent des amuse-gueules pour accompagner l'apéritif et un amuse-bouche, ce qui était sympa. Nous avons tous les deux apprécié notre plat principal de poisson. La nourriture est bonne, prix moyen.

Very nice restaurant. There was only a daily menu but it was good, very nicely served and excellent quality. The interior is very nice with mismatched chairs but very well decorated. The staff is vey friendly and the location (inside) has a superb view. Definitely worth the visit!

Great dinner in Vaisson La Romaine. The entree, Calamari, Poulpe de Roche, was fantastic. For the mains, try the lamb or the “poisson sausage de carmargue”. Both were excellent. Service was good (for France).

Great service and friendly staff , amazing food, lovely atmosphere ! I Would recommend and go again whenever in Vaison !
