Le Bistroquet - Réserver une table

While traveling from Luxembourg to Austria, we happened upon the sleepy town of Belleville, hungry and tired of driving. It was serendipity that we drove up to Le Bistroquet, for we turned a quick stop for lunch into an afternoon of fine dining and French culture. The service was expert but relaxed, the dining room was charming but not stuffy, and the food was a culinary adventure in fine French food. The amuse bouches (lobster with avocado, pea soup with bacon) were delicious, as were the petite fours and chocolates at the end of the meal. We lunched on salmon, sea bass, and filet, all of which were wonderful and accompanied by delicious vegetables and a starch. We ordered a delicious Pouilly Fume that was perfectly chilled. In all, the experience was a delight; a conversation with the chef was an added bonus. Although Belleville is off the beaten path, try to visit Le Biatroquet for its fine French cuisine and elegant atmosphere.

When we returned to the former bistroquet after a few decades of absence, we were initially disappointed by the lack of variety of dishes before we were seduced by their quality. Little gastro that doesn't look like much from the outside, but a real treasure! Nothing to say good meal friendly service. Price adapted to the meal, fresh products. Excellent foie gras with lemon chutney, calfs superb... and all about it, one of the best soufflés I cost. We will return!

This Michelin starred restaurant justly deserves its star. We made a late looking an could only be fitted in early in the evening but we received top class service from M. Ponsard and her staff. We had the superb 'gourmand' menu and the whole meal was faultless. There was a very comprehensive wine list that was reasonably priced. The decor was certainly not recent but it had its own charm and the package made for a memorable evening.

Madame Ponsard has died , and Mister Ponsard is almost retired . The daughter is running the restaurant . The foie gras is still unique and the Souffle is exceptional , but the restaurant needs a refreshing improvement to maintain its attraction

Absolutely sublime, wonderful opportunity for excellent lunch when travelling south from Nancy towards Dijon.
