Le Bistrot Arlesien

Arrived here out of the blue with some friends. Since I'm coeliac, it's been a bit difficult in France, but here they note all the allergens on the menu! I had beautiful pot roast chicken with baby potatoes cooked in the juice. Amazing dinner. Thrilled with Lovely staff, great food, lovely atmosphere on the square on a balmy evening.

I was a little apprehensive of going for a place I was unfamiliar with on a main tourist square in arles, but the food was better than I was expecting. We had the plat du jour (a tasty trout) and the kids enjoyed their menu enfants. We ate on the tables in the square itself, which are under shade.

We have been here for drinks only but you get the impression the staff would prefer if you were not there! Fed up of tourists maybe or hate their job? They look at you as if they do not know why you are there. Such a pity...nice tables and lighting...heaters on a cool evening. Staff so rude!

I chanced upon this and I was starving and the dish of the day was lasagne! Service was good and friendly and the serving size was very generous with a side of salad. Bargain for 14.90. Nothing special but good solid home cooked food at a fair price.

Everything just perfect. Staring from fabulous service by Emily (merci! , through location (can't be more central up to food and drinks as per the photos and bill attached. Worth every eurocent spent, we fully recommend this venue.
