My wife, son, and I were staying with friends in Ruffec and wanted to stop off for a quick coffee and cake. The older lady could clearly see we were struggling with the French language trying to get this point across and we didn 't want any big lunch as such, but she gave the impression that she couldn 't understand any English. Subsequently, our host told us she can speak quite good English. Finally with the help of the very friendly younger girl we managed to order a cappuccino, water, small mousse, and a slice of quiche. I attempted to pay the bill and the young man on the till was keying the items in when the older lady barked '25 euros! ' and waved her hand dismissively. For some reason...

Out with friend in Verteuil and came across this place. Wanted to visit for some time but never found the time. We only had drinks. There were quite a few setting up for a jam night which is a monthly session some good musicians a pleasant atmosphere and the wine was quite enjoyable. There was food but being a jam night it was a light menu. We will go back.

Découvert ce midi pendant un petit road trip dans la région, le cadre est chaleureux, les habitués mangent au bar et plaisantent avec la maîtresse des lieux, la cuisine est simple mais faite maison, dans la veine d'un vrai bistrot ! Je recommande pour les nostalgiques, les gens simples et pour entendre le rire de la maîtresse des lieux!!

Cuisine très bonne, service exemplaire, sauf bémol le prix assez important, mais qui peut certainement s'expliquer par la fraîcheur des produits. Bien pour un restaurant, par contre trop cher pour des ouvriers.
