Le Bistrot D'antoine

Lors de mon voyage à travers la région de la Somme, je me suis arrêté pour un excellent déjeuner au Bistrot D'Antoine, en face du château symbolisant la Première Guerre mondiale. Mon grand-père a servi avec le 14e Bataillon australien dans la 4e Division de mai 1916 à fin 1918, notamment à Pozieres. Bien qu'il ait été blessé environ 6 à 8 fois, dont 3 à 4 entraînant une hospitalisation en Angleterre, il a survécu à la guerre et est décédé à l'âge de 76 ans en 1968 lorsque j'avais 15 ans. Il est mort avec du gaz moutarde encore dans ses poumons et un éclat d'obus dans son genou provenant de ses rencontres dans la Somme.

Une fois de plus, nous avons visité ce restaurant fantastique. L'accueil par le personnel était charmant, les autres clients étaient très accueillants, des Français et des Anglais adorables. Ensuite, passons à la nourriture. Brillante, j'ai pris en plat principal l'assiette du boucher - quel assortiment de grillades ! Une nourriture fabuleuse et à un prix raisonnable. Le vin, produit dans le Médoc par Henri Duboscq, ne vous déçoit jamais. L'accompagnement parfait pour un repas fabuleux. Merci encore à tous ceux qui ont rendu notre soirée très spéciale.

Had lunch here with friends. Good food, but when we said we didn't want coffee the table was cleared in an instant.Not even time to digest what was a nice lunch.Returned here for dinner a day later. Good food but had to wait an hour for the "pleasure". It seemed that people who arrived after us were given preference. Not impressed!!.If they were so busy it would have been courteous to have told us that there might be a delay. Not sure if their English could have relayed that fact

Une expérience agréable appréciée par toute la famille. La nourriture était bonne et bien présentée. Le serveur était très attentif et a ajouté à l'expérience. Si vous voulez manger à l'extérieur mais que vous craignez de vous ruiner et de repartir insatisfait, alors nous avons trouvé l'endroit pour vous. Nous avons trouvé que la note était un bon rapport qualité-prix et nous savions que nous avions bien mangé. Réservez une table maintenant

Good food, good prices, good service and a very pleasant outside eating area. We ordered a very simple lunch which included white asparagus which were absolutely delightful. If you are passing through this very pretty town, you should take advantage of a fine dining establishment such as Le Bistrot. Highly Recommended.

Very friendly and flexible staff. Many regional products and excellent meat quality. We came back a second time since there were so many nice dishes on the menu.Only a few cafes and restaurants in Péronne have a terrace, and le Bistrot d'Antoine has the most beautiful one .

Last night in Peronne - where could be better to spend the evening? An excellent meal, a friendly and amusing waiter, beautiful surroundings and a large choice of dishes. I could go on, but I've started salivating!

Très bonne nourriture et service, clairement un endroit tenu par des gens qui aiment leur travail ! Ils ont une belle terrasse sur une place et j'ai eu une excellente salade de fruits de mer ! Réservez une table maintenant

We can happily endorse all that those who have been before have said! It was our second visit and will undoubtedly be a restaurant we shall visit again when passing though Peronne

We just wanted a light lunch so had to go for the pasta. It was very good served quickly and was very warm. Filled the whole it was required to fill.
