Le Bistrot de Mougins

I've been living in Mougins for 3 months and have been travelling around Cote d'Azur every weekend, and I'm quite sure that it was one of the worst dining experiences. The food is rather average but extremely overpriced. Things work extremely slow in Le Bistrot de Mougis. It took us 2,5 hours to finish 2 course dinner. Something is extremely wrong with this place as we have witnessed a riot of customers who have left the venue falling short of temper after waiting for too long for their food. For food, nothing to say, it was excellent, even if the price is a little expensive. On the other hand, the staff is not flexible AT ALL. We had taken the menu and one of the desserts we wanted was no longer available. We tried to ask for something else, instead of like a Limoncello, we were told that it was possible, then 5 minutes later no more and this by 3 different waiters even after the insistence, some of the people working at the table in food and berverage and know the cost of a 4cl drink compared to a dessert and we were made to pay the price of dessert. In short, we were calculated the price of the whole menu, while two people could not have dessert. No commercial gesture was made...

We chose the restaurant without a study, but thanks to the beautiful location on the main square of the old village. There was no table outside, but on the ground floor was a nice room. We prefer the Terroir menu with a wide selection of first and main dishes: good my rice and my steak, but also my wife's fish. Good lemon cake for dessert.

The restaurant has a great ambience. It looks like you're in a cave. Nabil made dinner great. His service was the top of the line and I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Mougins.

Alain starts it and it was taken over by the new owner... no difference in quality. Best menu selection. great food and excellent service. the owner leads the place very well.
