Nous avons visité le restaurant lors d'un séjour d'une semaine à Pierrerue; c'était le restaurant le plus proche et s'est avéré être un endroit où nous aurions volontiers voyagé! Nous étions là pour le dîner tôt, 6 adultes et notre enfant d'un an. Le propriétaire était très accueillant et... la serveuse charmante, se donnant vraiment du mal pour divertir ma fille (qui en retour était sage); nous avons vraiment apprécié cela. La nourriture était incroyable tout au long du repas: certains d'entre nous ont pris un gaspacho, parfaitement équilibré et assaisonné, même le tout-petit l'a adoré. We visited the restaurant during a one-week stay in Pierrerue; this was the nearest restaurant and it turned out to be somewhere we would have happily traveled to!we were there for early dinner, 6 adults + our one-year-old. The owner was very welcoming and the waitress lovely, really getting out of her way to entertain my daughter (who - in return? - was on best behaviour); we really appreciated this.The food was amazing throughout: some of us had a gazpacho, perfectly balanced and seasoned, even the toddler loved it. After a tip from a norwegian friend with a house in the area we planned a visit to this little town in the countryside in Provence. We were told that this is the best beef around and it was! Tasty and tender as a good beef should be.Not only the beef but all the different dishes we tried on two different visits are great!The food is prepared and presented with a focus on flavor with local touch. This is real good coooking in a small town in the "middle of nowhere". The service is great and personal in simple but charming surroundings.The Escargots or the Gazpacho as starters are also great choices!We will be back many more times.Only take cash so remember to bring some :)
Ma femme et moi avons récemment profité d'un délicieux déjeuner entre amis alliant la chaleur amicale de Maryvonne et les compétences culinaires de Marc. Les plats étaient très variés et nous étions tous très satisfaits de nos sélections respectives. Mon généreux plat de bœuf était cuit exactement comme je l'avais demandé et le crumble était délicieux. Situé dans le petit village de Pierrerue à environ 5km de Forcalquier je recommande fortement le drive. Réservez une table maintenant
J'ai disputé avec des amis et de la famille pour le dîner et je n'ai pas été déçu. Nous avons commencé avec des margaritas incroyables et avons continué avec des steaks, des pommes de terre et des légumes. Les steaks étaient étonnamment délicats avec une couche de poudre de champignon. Mon mari a pris du sanglier avec des carottes et une sauce luxueuse.... Les desserts étaient tous faits maison et merveilleux. Le voyage en valait la peine !
My wife and I recently enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends which combined the friendly warmth of Maryvonne and the culinary skills of Marc. There was a good variety of meals and we were all well satisfied with our respective selections. My generous beef dish was cooked exactly as I had requested and the crumble was delicious. Located in the small village of Pierrerue about 5km from Forcalquier I would strongly recommend the drive.
Nous avons mangé dehors dans la zone couverte juste en face de la route (très calme) du restaurant et nous avons pris les filets de boeuf (qui nous avaient été recommandés). Les filets étaient délicieux et cuits comme demandé. Nous avons également apprécié les entrées et les desserts... Le service était amical et serviable. Il n'y avait aucun problème à avoir notre chien avec nous. Dans l'ensemble, une soirée agréable.
We ate outside in the covered area just across the (very quiet) road from the restaurant and we had the beef fillets (which had been recommended to us). The fillets were very delicious and cooked just as requested. We also enjoyed the starters and deserts. The service was friendly and helpful. There was no problem having our dog with us.
