At the risk of adding to a theme here , I'll say that the Bistrot was recommended by a local family, but we were warned that it was impossible to get a smile from the owner ! The menu choice was good with lots of local fresh produce and dishes all well prepared and presented. It was a very busy evening but the service was OK and friendly. A good selection of wines both local and better known chateaux. Well fed and wined but no smile !
This little bistrot enjoys a lovely quaint corner of Valaurie, and the food is actually very good, but our experience was spoiled by Madam patron whose ‘welcome’ was so unfriendly we nearly walked away without sitting down, it was all too much trouble for her. The bill was not exactly cheap yet our custom still didn’t manage to raise a smile. Would not return to be treated in such an offhand manner.
We were glad we travelled in to the village to eat. This is a great place. We ate outside with everyone else and it felt as if you were being served in the village square. The food was excellent, as was the service. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast the following morning.
