Le Bistrot D'en Face

After visiting the Friday morning market, we decided to have lunch in the Bistrot d’en Face. Although we hadn’t made a reservation and the restaurant was very busy, the waiter sorted a table for us with minimal fuss. We all had the menu du jour and despite there appearing to be no vegetarian option, there was no bother in sorting out a vegetarian dish for my husband. All our meals were delicious and wine was included and as the bill for the four of us came to less than €50, it was extremely good value.

Good prices, good Gascone home cooking! Go in through the bar, the restaurant is upstairs. Had the spider of pork (a cut) with mustard, hubs had a beef provencale dish with white beans. The Toulousian ice cream (Neopolitan, with violet berry tasting instead of strawberry). Carafe of wine on the table. Looks like two brothers run it; they do a good job. Friendly.

Nourriture délicieuse, bon service et si bon rapport qualité-prix. Nous avons payé 22 € pour 2 plats du jour vin inclus ! Et ils nous ont donné gratuitement une petite assiette de chips avec des fruits et des légumes transformés en visage souriant pour notre enfant de 2 ans. Merci!

Convivial et accueillant. Plats délicieux et inventifs, très bon rapport qualité-prix. Bonne idée de réserver car c'est assez petit. Endroit authentique et animé, sans fioritures mais très authentique.

Turned up at 12:45 and grabbed the last available table upstairs. Fixed price menu, such good value and included a carafe of wine. We were the only English and made to feel really welcome.
