"We ate here when staying at the hotel up the road. Nothing memorable but decent food well cooked and presented. Service a little poor. You don't have a great deal of choice if staying at the hotel other than eating in, eating here or driving...miles. Unpretentious little place worth visitng."

I live locally and this was my first visit with the new owners. Service was slow, just two waitresses who were working hard but not coping with a nearly full restaurant Menu was disappointing. It is promoted as a fish restaurant but the menu beef dishes and only fish main courses. I had the sardines which were served in parsley butter. An oily fish doesn’t need butter. A slice of lemon would have been great. The roast potatoes were so over cooked as to be almost inedible. I won’t be going back

Don't spend per head TA recommended the Bistrot du Port, Pen Lan,and several entries were from people who were staying at Domaine de Rochevilaine. It was an unpretentious establishment about from the hotel. There was a business group speaking a mixture of French,...German and English. We had a local terrine to start, salmon for main course and creme brûlée for dessert maybe nothing exceptional, but a reasonable price, with good food and efficient, friendly service.

We were staying a nearby hotel where fine dining as available, but preferred a simple lunch. This was perfect close to the sea, with a cooling breeze we enjoyed verry good local fare. The grilled, fresh sardines were great and my wife had the...Julienne (fish of thre day). The service was excellenta nd the pichet of chilled rosé a reasonably priced drink. All-in-all, a lovely experience we will certainly return when in the area.

I read all of these reviews about how you can avoid the high prices at the Domaine de Rochevilaine. Not so fast. This place is not comparable with the Domaine de Rochevilaine. Yes cheaper, but that's it. We had the chicken which was way...overcooked. The meal at Domaine de Rochevilaine was excellent but expensive. You get what you pay for.
