"We shared a Denti (apparently a rare version of the dorade) which was not cheap but cooked to perfection. A nice bottle of wine, nice deserts and a beautiful view completed the set for a delightful evening."

The restaurant is aspiring to be a cut above the rest in its well appointed position, by the harbour with great views. The local competition is of mediocre standard that is good value so the challenge is high. The staff are welcoming, well trained and converse in multiple languages. The menu is refined , only fish on the evening menu. A good choice of fish is available. However, the starters and main course are over engineered. Good ingredients have been used and wasted. The additions to the courses are poor. The chef needs to taste his own food to ensure his guests are enjoying it and when the fish is presented and boned, it should be seasonEd before serving. They have a good selections of wines, however decanted wines should not be poured by the customer. Our previous visits have been more successful.

Our first time in the Bistrot du port was a great experience. Lunch on a late August Friday with super friendly and professional staff was a great start for a week-end in Golfe-Juan. The atmosphere was peacefull and we got seated on the terrasse, in shadow from the hot sun and with a marvellous view to the port with its many boats. The lunch ”Formule” was value for money from the starters untill the delicious dessert and small cakes served with an excellent coffee. Fish from the nearest waters from the Mediterranean couldn’t be fresher. And of course great wine. No wonder that Bistrot du port is a Michelin star restaurant. Looking already forward to the next time. Merci et à bientôt! Anna and Tiina, Helsinki Finland

One of the brothers has gone (he was Maitre D ' and very good); service has suffered much slower. Also almost everything on the menu was off ; Special Red Snapper? Nope. Langoustine? Nope. Homard? Nope. Still the fish soup was excellent; terrific flavour though they do rely rather too much on that red fake caviar. Nice texture but not much taste. Main course Dourade OK, nothing special. Avec Pommes de Terre? Nope. Salade? Nope. Dessert OK, not special. Coffee? OK presentation now excellent; definite upgrade for crockery and display of the food but a slight decline in food quality. I shall return a couple more times; hoping some of the menu is on .

We had the best bouillabaisse in a long time there. The fish is served separately which allows your palate to taste one fish at a time. You can ask for more bouillabaisse soup and sides if you want. The desserts are prepared on site and therefore freshly made. We had the best mille feuilles with raspberries. The personnel was lovely and attentive. All in all, we had a wonderful evening. I really recommend the place.
