Le Bistrot du Splendid

Tellement non français qu'il se démarque comme étant différent, excentrique et amusant. Installé dans un vieux théâtre, ils ont su garder le thème vivant avec un mélange d'anciennes radios, télévisions, tourne-disques, etc., ainsi qu'un amalgame de tables et de chaises, mais tout se marie dans une ambiance étrange, intéressante et mignonne, et cela fonctionne réellement. Il y a une agréable cour pour dîner en plein air. La nourriture était simple et agréable... Gratton (comme une terrine) et du gazpacho en entrée, des poivrons farcis et une salade César en plat principal, des fraises ou du fromage en dessert, et un rapport qualité-prix incroyable puisque, avec un litre de vin et le café, cela ne nous a coûté que 33 € pour nous deux. Le service (et l'accueil) étaient amicaux et efficaces, et ils méritent le soutien de notre communauté locale. Vaut vraiment le détour si vous êtes dans la région en visite.

So un-French that it stands out as different and quirky and fun.Set in an old theatre and they have kept the theme alive with a mish-mash of old radios, TVs, record players etc., and a jumble of table and chairs, but it all gels into weird, interesting and cute, and it actually seems to work. There is a pleasant courtyard for al fresco dining.Food was simple and pleasant ... Gratton (like a terrine) and gazpacho for entree and stuffed peppers and caesar salad for mains, with strawberries or cheese for dessert, and incredible value as together with a litre of wine plus coffee was just €33 for the 2 of us.Service (and welcome) was friendly and efficient and they deserve the support of our local community.Well worth a visit if you are in the area visiting.

If you are looking for a place out of the ordinary, please visit Le Bistrot.Located in the picturesque village of Langoiron Gironde and surrounded by the famous Bordeaux, le bistrot is your place for a cool evening and family type food. Great show on a regular basis (please check days and schedule as the place is not open every day).Le Bistrot could easily me moved to Austin Texas. as it has all the "keep it weird" atmosphere.Many thanks to the owners for running this special old theater.

Le Bistro du Splendid était parfait pour nous quatre pour un déjeuner rapide. Le menu change tous les jours mais la nourriture était vraiment bonne. Le serveur nous a dit qu'il ne prépare que 15 portions par jour, donc tout est frais ! Le Tartare de Tomates et le Suprême de Poulet, tous les deux excellents. Et seulement 23 € pour un couple, boissons comprises. Hautement recommandé !

Very classy yet simpleThe environment is pristine (stuck between Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte and the caudalie Spas) and the service is fabulous.
