Le Bistrot Logique

I guest teach at a French university every year and we have only just found the Bistrot Logique. We will make you we eat there every year now. We had a wonderful evening. Mathilde was a welcoming and senstive host. The food was exquisite with real delicacy of flavours, with meat, fish and vegetarian tastes catered for. The desserts were sensational. The atmosphere was true bistrot, which I had given up on. The price is very reasonable considering some of the overpriced offerings. It was a nice summer walk down from the main square. A very nice surprise in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The service is very nice and friendly, a small restaurant but really charming, there is a menu for 25 or 32 eur depending on the choice. The menu is really attractive, with a mix of good quality materials. We took the ceviche and the gambas. Both entries were well prepared and nicely presented. The main courses are nice as well. The entrecôte comes with a fantastic smashed potatoes and the wok of plume ibérique is really tasty. A place to come back for its good price quality.

Went for a mid week meal with two colleagues. Service was great, welcoming, friendly and efficient in a pleasant bistro atmosphere. Starter was fabulous (we all went for the prawns in curry sauce), dessert was also lovely, great wine list, however opted for the cote de boeuf to share which was very chewy and a real disappointment (it’s never the most tender but this was not good)! I would happily go back for another meal, but would choose a different main course.

I ate at Le Bistrot logique last weekend with a group of friends and my 4 year old son. The meal was delicious for all of us, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be back, and will recommend to anyone who will listen.

Very nice atmosphere, excellent food and an amazing list of wines. Friendly staff, a little expensive but still good value for money. Some outdoor seating but not very many tables and only for two, I believe. A must try.
