We couldn 't have picked a better restaurant for diner in Vezelay. 3 good reasons to go: specials venturing into wild territory as I ate my first fraise de veau there (never seen in any other restaurant), the astonishing and extensive cheese assortment, mostly local and quite a few organic ones, and finally the advice on wine, spot on according to our request. Of course the place serves also the classics of the area, my wife had eggs meurette and I had the snails for starters.... Really memorable for under 50 per person including wine.

It is a humble eatery that cooks traditional, old fashioned french kitchen dishes and local wines. That means that either you would like it or hate it depending on the level of familiarity you have with the local rustique specialties. The wines carry a hefty markup and the glasses are too small so it is not a place where you can really enjoy a bottle of wine.

Beautiful French food, looking and tasting great all our family (2 adults and 2 kids) very much enjoyed the late dinner. Its not particularly cheap, but its a family restaurant and its local food, so dont mind paying it.

une cuisine locale remarquable. beaux produits cuits avec grand soin. On redécouvre les plats traditionnels et on en profite. rare de trouver une telle qualité. charmante bienvenue.

Très bonne cuisine régionale. Le sablonneur à moelle est un vrai régal. La réception pourrait être un peu plus cordiale, cela ne ferait pas de mal à l'établissement!
