S'il y a une chose que les Français savent bien faire, c'est la nourriture. Eh bien, ce lieu ne le fait pas. La seule chose qu'il est censé bien faire, le calmar comme son nom l'indique, était l'un des repas les plus fades que j'ai eu en France pendant l'année où j'ai vécu ici. J'ai essayé le plateau de toutes les variétés de calmars et seul le calmar en encre était quelque chose qui pourrait passer pour acceptable selon les normes culinaires françaises. Ajoutez à cela le fait qu'un tel plateau vous coûtera 21€ et que tous les autres plats sont également de prix élevé (le plateau de poisson était à 19€ et seul le daurade était acceptable mais très salé) et cela ne laisse pas beaucoup à l'ima...
Passing near the restaurant by chance we stopped there attracted by the name of restaurant and the outside standing menu. The staff was very kind and helpful by choosing the wright meal,polite and very quickly. As appetizer we choose oysters,yammi as everywhere in this region. The main meal grilled calamari with tasty black pasta with lentiles and house-maid olive oil sauce with garlic and herbs. Desert of the day I tried after the recommendation of Jam,the owner of the restaurant. It was delicious too and very special-icecream of reglisse/liquoric stick./ With food we drank rose,manually picked grapes,also delicious and finishing the lunch Jam invited us for a rum of Guadelup
Nous étions 4 à dîner au Calamar en Folie et nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Comme il n'avait pas plu depuis longtemps, l'étang était asséché, mais le coucher de soleil compensait cela ! Deux d'entre nous ont commandé du gaspacho en entrée et ont été surpris de voir qu'il était principalement fait à base de betterave. Plutôt inhabituel. Le reste du repas s'est bien passé, le personnel était également très bon. Anglais, français et espagnol parlés. Dans l'ensemble, un endroit très digne pour dîner. Facilité de parking à côté du restaurant.
4 of us had dinner at Le Calamar en Folie (the stupid sqiud) and we had a lovely evening. As it had been dry for a long while, the etang had dried up, but the sunset made up for that!2 of us ordered Gaspacho for starter and were surprised to see it was made principally with beetroot. Rather unusual.The rest of the meal went well, the staff were very good as well. English, French and Spanish spoken.All in all a very worthy place to have dinner. Easy car parking next to the restaurant.

This Restaurant is something totally special on all levels. The owner and his wife greets you as long lost friends when you arrive, the food is tasteful and beautifully arranged, the atmosphere is laid back and warm. The surroundings are magnificent especially at sunset. But most of all the owners and the staff are so positive and will do anything to please you....it is impossible to leave this place without a smile on your face and a wish to come back.
We come at la Franqui since nearly 40 years. We have discovered "Le Calamar en folie" tonight for the first time and we are very happy to dicover this restaurant which is located opposite to where we live.I ate mussels with parsley butter, squids with chorizo and pannacota for dessert. The food was delicious, the service good and I will come back. The restaurant was full and the owners deserve it, they are very nice.
I had my 60 birthday party at Calemare en Folie, and what a party....everything from the welcome cocktail with tapas to the 3 course dinner was outstanding....the staff was on there toes all night and did all they could to make my birthday memorable.I have never experience everything like this and can only reckomend the restaurant with all my heart. Thank you for giving me a memory for life. See you very soon again.
What a surprise, this lovely restaurant close to La Franqui. The view is beautiful and the restaurant looks nice, but the food and the people make all the difference. The dishes are special and ambitious, but well prepared and very tasty. The pleasant owners/staff give your stay and your lunch or diner an extra dimension. Highly recommended!

C'est l'endroit parfait pour les fruits de mer. Le menu est excellent et les calmars préparés de différentes façons sont délicieux. L'assiette dégustation de poissons est également brillante. Jam est toujours un hôte gracieux et prend bien soin de ses "invités". Un peu excentré mais cela vaut vraiment la peine de le trouver.
Amazing food with great service and ambiance! The restaurant is beautiful and on the water, such a nice place.
