Le Canal Poissonerie

I dined here over the weekend, and the food was outstanding—delicious and perfectly seasoned. However, I did have an issue with the waiter. He greeted only my fiancé and completely ignored me, turning his back on me while speaking to her. It was disappointing to experience such blatant disrespect, especially considering how great the food was. If someone doesn't enjoy serving others or can't treat every customer with basic courtesy, they might not be suited for working in a public-facing role.

Such a gem! So happy we came across this spot, we stopped here on a trip to Montreal and the food is delicious. The octopus salad is a MUST try! Fresh seafood is right there, made to order and the service is outstanding. Everyone was very welcoming to myself and my family, even offered us unique traditional sides to try. I can’t wait to go back one day, hopefully you guys open a location in Mississauga soon lol

If you're looking for the best and freshest seafood in the area, this restaurant is a must-visit. The calamari is fantastic—it's not too chewy and has just the right amount of breading. The octopus was a perfect appetizer, not overly salty like you often find elsewhere. The owner's son provided a warm welcome and frequently checked on us during our meal. Overall, this place is a gem!

It’s not worth the hype. Plates come one after the other so you have to wait for your food for a long time. The food tastes very normal. nothing special, maybe the calamari is nice, but the rest is just like average.

Best grilled shrimp I have ever had. Great healthy options. Dine-in experience is great, especially for a nice family meal. Pick up can sometimes have a very long wait time. Salmon filets were a bit overcooked.

The spicy shrimp was absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly, and I will definitely return and recommend this place to my family and friends. Dining at Le Canal feels like stepping into Egypt.
