Olivier Samin is one of the most imaginative chefs whose food I had the pleasure of eating. I cannot recommend the quality, style and presentation of his dishes highly enough. Regretably, his skill is not matched by his serving and front of house staff. Stephanie, his wife, leads the team and could not even be bothered to say 'hello'. Others were the most dour it has been my experience to meet and the service was truly awful, spoiling what otherwise would have been a delightful experience. One hour wait for the main course is just an example with other guests suffering similar delays. Yes the restaurant was full so recruit the proper level of staff. Michelin in Paris take note before 12 Januay 2016!

On the way back from Nice to Switzerland, we stopped at this Michelin-star restaurant with rooms. We splashed out by going for their "séjour gourmand": at €350 all-in for two, this included a clean well-equipped standard room, a 6-course surprise gastro meal with wine pairing, a welcome glass of champagne and breakfast. The meal was perfectly executed, complex yet light and airy. Wines were interesting, mainly regional choices, some perhaps a bit young. Full breakfast was served with freshly squeezed orange juice, nice local cheese and ham, fresh bread and pastries. Service with a warm smile. This despite a heavy thunderstorn forcing all diners (full house) to move inside in a rush.

A restaurant with rooms which are themed by colour. Usually stay in a different hotel in Valence but a colleague found this. Brilliant, very understated and charming with a Michelin *. Service was wonderful as was the food. Even the attention to detail was evident at breakfast, everything fresh and warm bread and croissants. Marvellous!

Located just outside Valence, this 1 star michelin restaurant was definitely worth our detour. Elegant food cooked perfectly with a light touch. Our 2 young boys loved everything. I also found the service to be perfect; warm but professional. We skipped the cheese course but will definitely try it next time!
