La première fois que nous avons repéré cette terrasse luxuriante, surplombant une place de marché pittoresque, nous étions tellement en retard (22h) que d'autres restaurants nous avaient refusés, mais pas La Casa Line. Malheureusement, les coquilles étaient terminées, donc nous avons dû opter pour autre chose, sans aucune plainte (une bonne salade et une très bonne pizza). Nous avons décidé de retenter les coquilles deux jours plus tard et maintenant nous comprenons pourquoi elles avaient toutes été mangées la première fois. The first time we spotted this lush-looking terrace, overlooking a picturesque market square, we were so late (10 pm) that other restaurants had refused us, but no La Casa Line. Unfortunately, the coquilles were finished, so we had to settle for something else, no complaints (a good salad and a very good pizza). We decided to give the coquilles another try two days later and now understand why they had all been eaten the first time. Coquilles St. Jacques à la Provencale ... never have I eaten them better. First of all, they were quite big, so 5 of them constituted a real plat, and secondly, the sauce... Tasty and refined at the same time. This dish has definitely taken a place in my food mem...
This restaurant has a nice setting and the ambience ought to be great but being cramped, cold-winds surging through every time the door is opened (and often not closed) together with service provided by staff hired for being young and female rather than for any talent as hosts, rather spoils the potential of what, with better management, could be a very great place to eat.
