I came to Mastres with my daughter, who is a painter that is showing her art here for the Jazz Festival (Mastres is a town to visit, particularly the camping resorts! . The restaurant is spectacular and totally surprising, even for France. The culinary experience was better than Paris four stars Michelins that I have tried. The corbin fish was the best fish I have eaten in my life and I am 72! The entre were simply surprising and amazing! You have two menues to select from and we selected the lesser menu. We are staying south of Toulouse and it is not an area blessed with good restaurants. This is a shining exception. We arrived late sat nav not operating properly) but were greeted warmly. Delivery issues meant we could only have the cheapest menu (19 euros) which is an absolute bargain. Shrimps and quinoa for two of us, beef carpaccio for one then three salmon pieces on creamy polenta and a fruit ‘profiterole’. Two of us also had cheese. All delicious. The maitre d steered us towards a cheaper bottle of wine than the one initially selected (though we actually chose to go up the scale) and we were given a free glass of champagne because of the limited food choice. And the sun was shining.

Nous avons toujours visité cette région et apprécions la nourriture depuis dix ans. Je suis tellement heureux de voir que les normes des restaurants ici sont aussi élevées que jamais depuis que le nouveau chef a pris la relève. Nous avons pris une décision impromptue pour le déjeuner et nous avions notre chien avec nous, le service et la réception étaient incomparables. Maintenez des normes incroyables car la nourriture et le service sont de la plus haute qualité.

A recommander à tous les « gourmets ». Idéal repas du soir pris en terrasse. Chaque plat vous laissera une expérience culinaire incroyable. Les ingrédients sont choisis avec soin et traités avec respect pour créer des assiettes de très bon goût. Chaque plat est également visuellement extrêmement bien pensé depuis le choix des assiettes jusqu'à la mise en place. Tout cela est complété par un service de très haute qualité. Haute gastronomie à son essence du terme.

Very nice place (inside or outside). Excellent food. The service was better than the two last times but the man who served wine was still incompetent arrogant and not so polite. Besides wine is too expensive and there isn 't enough choice with Bourgogne !
