"Attentive service at this no nonsense restaurant. Excellent pizza after some hard skiing. All food cooked to order and the fish was beautiful. Very friendly and happy to bear with us whilst we experimented with our French!"

We visited this restaurant with our daughter, son in law and two grandsons, we were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. We were quickly seated at a window table with lovely views of the village. Menus arrived and orders taken for predinner drinks while we made our choice for dinner. All tastes were covered, the boys chose pizzas and the adults selected from the set 3 course menu. I had the best fish soup that I have had in a very long time. My daughter is a vegetarian and was very pleased with the selection. We were eating our meal when the couple on the next table had the specialty of the house, brochettes, which is a selection of meats , mushrooms, tomatoes and onions on a sword. The men and boys in the party decided that we would return the next evening to sample this specialty. We were very pleased with the food and service on both evenings.
Have eaten here alone with the family, generally for lunch time. Offers a complete lunch menu (entree, main plate, desert, etc. with around 15 euros. Will get your stomach full, but that's about it. Pizzas have a lot cheese (too much , and french fries a bit too salty for my kids. My daughter did not finish the chocolate mousse... My wife commented that her steak much have been pre-cooked somewhere else... The service is very friendly.
We spent a week in the lovely village of Autrans. We visited Le Chalet Suisse 3 times during our stay. Warm welcome every time from Diane and Arnaud, wonderful choice of dishes, efficient service. We went twice as a couple and the 3rd time with some French Friends. This is an excellent Restaurant and I recommend it highly. Wonderful food, warm ambience: winning combination!
Tres bon restaurant, avec un prix très abordable, copieux, bonne truite aux amandes. Entrée, plat, fromage (rare dans les restaurants) dessert, le tout pour moins de 30 € par personne. Nous y retournerons pour goûter à leur spécialité la brochette de bœuf de charolais de 400g elle semblait très bonne. A bientôt !
