Let's start by saying that from the outside this place looks very unassuming but as soon as you walk in you feel like you have stepped in an authentic French restaurant. From the moment you walk in this becomes an experience. Best part is that they bring you a bread and cake basket! Those cakes were sooo delicious I ended up ordering a salad after I devoured them and I still could not finish my salad, which was so good. We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We hosted a friend's bridal shower here and were impressed by the reasonably priced tea service at $27 per person. The highlight of the service was the incredibly delicious scones, which came in a variety of flavors and were served with a small but delicious serving of clotted cream and jam (although we wished they had lemon curd as well). If you ever want to have a bridal shower or a baby shower this is your perfect choice. All the food was excellent with a huge selection_ the desserts are to die for and the scones are out of this world. If I could I would eat brunch there every single day!! The staff and owner did such an amazing job for my future daughter in law's bridal shower. I can't say enough about the service and the food definitely worthwhile! Yummy!! Very quaint, clean dining, was there for breakfast. Reasonably priced. Baxter Benedict was cooked perfectly, very tasty hollandaise sauce, Onion goat cheese tart was also perfect, delightful crust, served with fresh mixed greens salad and homemade balsamic dressing. Large selection of teas, very polite staff, knowledgeable of menu and teas. Convenient local parking. So many dishes I want to try, will def be going back!

If I could, I would eat brunch every day!! The staff and the owner did such an amazing job for my future daughter in the bridal shower of the law. My mom and I had heard about this restaurant and decided to visit while we were in Sweden. The staff were amazing, very friendly and made us feel extremely welcomed. We really enjoyed the variety of teas and desserts they offered. Our favorite dish on the menu was the French onion soup, it was absolutely delicious. The blueberry scone was also exceptional. Chat Noir is a French tea restaurant in Rockville Centre, NY. I visited other restaurants in the area and Chat Noir was on my bucket list of places to try. I went to Chat Noir to enjoy some “Tea Service”, which contains a pot of tea of your choice (many varieties), finger sandwiches, pastries and scones for $22.75 per person. The food at this restaurant is good. The noise level fluctuates due to the many women inside chatting. We visited during two events happening simultaneously. Despite this, the service overall was good.
