Le Clocher penché When taste and flavor matters, this is the restaurant to eat at. If you are lucky enough to either live here or nearby count yourself special. We don’t live close unless you call living in Los Angeles living close. I feel lucky...because we ate here two nights before we leave for home. We were able to come back the following night. I hope to order the oysters which I saw on another diners plate the first night. They looked absolutely AMAZING. I plan to order them tomorrow night. The bread is really great. It is like a herbed brioche served with perfect temperature butter with sea salt sprinkled on top. Tonight the duck hearts were cooked rare, to perfection. The other ingre...

We booked this restaurant as we were in Québec City over the Valentine’s Day weekend also Family Day weekend in Ontario and President’s Day weekend in USA..we figured staying in St-Roche away from the tourists would make for easy reserves but no. We managed to...get a reservation which was fine by us as we were staying up the street. Excellent cocktails, try the bourbon and bacon it is delicious! I had a Jasmine which was a little too girly for me but would make a nice summer cocktail..the waiter brought a simple amuse bouche of warm olives which I got to eat all by myself as my companion dislikes olives But oysters....oh làlà! We shared a plate of raw and a plate of oysters Rockefeller...ne...

The first time I was invited to Le clocher penché, many many years ago, I said to myself I have to come back to this restaurant. And I did. Not as many times as I wanted but I try to go there whenever I am...in Quebec City. What was comforting was the quality is still there. The entree mixing shrimps with veggies was a superb dish. And what followed, eggplant with zucchini, tomatoes and more was a great dish that I would recommend if you want to avoid meat. However, the eggplant was slightly burned. This happens often when you fry eggplant. The fish was in contrary perfectly cooked. The desserts were also a must. I recommend the Faisselle, which is a fresh cheese from cow milk, mixed with dr...

Mushroom soup was wonderful. Some might call it bisque. It was a classy joint so I was discrete as I sopped up the soup that couldn't get with my spoon with my baguette. The green tea service was nice and the tea was good. The...entree was fish of the day so I accept full blame for the natural taste but the chef should have tried harder. The risotto was bland, probably by design to allow the hazelnuts to shine through. Hazelnuts didn't work. Thankfully there were some roasted carrots to make things interesting. Pretty place but Tim Horton's coffe and crullers would have a been better investment. Réservez une table maintenant

It was a great meal and excellent service. Our server was fab. The bread is an absolute delight. The wine list was nice but our waiter recommended a lovely Quebec wine. Given it is farm to table and timing is everything providing feedback about specific...dishes isn’t really helpful given that you may not have them again. Just appreciate that the food is prepared excellently. I would suggest you listen to your server. They are very knowledgeable. Enjoy!

My wife and I had one of the best meals in Quebec City here. We ordered the special casserole. It sounded like an odd combination of shrimp and Autumn root vegetables, but we figured why not experiment? We were so glad we did. We also...liked the decor a lot. The whole experience compared favorably to meals we had in Paris. We'd definitely go back.

Of all the times I have dined in Quebec City, and there have been many that have been wonderful, this has been the best. Prior to The border has been closed too long. Sweet Annie! Réservez une table maintenant
